Being a mother of two, my work can often be demanding. Crafting with HOCHANDA has allowed me to completely relax and unwind, escaping from the stresses of having an exhausting daily routine.
My love of crafting began about sixteen or seventeen years ago now when both my girls were little. It was borne out of needing to make things for their birthday parties. As well as giving me a break from my 9-5, sewing with HOCHANDA has given me a sense of self. When the girls were young and needed constant attention, I became known as Jordan’s mum and Taylor’s mum. Now they’re older and I have more time on my hands, crafting has given me a new identity. It’s very therapeutic.
I began by transforming my old study into a glorified storage hub. This is where I keep all my fabrics and machines. If anything sits there for long enough, it gets labelled! I use another room to work on new projects and refine my technique, all of which are inspired by HOCHANDA.
