The Pattern Preacher is a new premium British sewing pattern brand, promoting both local British manufacturing and eco-sustainability. Based in the historic textiles city of Leicester, the brand’s inspiration and ethos is rooted in the return of artisan methods of clothes making, bought about by The Arts and Crafts Movement of the late 19th Century. These, combined with a sustainable approach to manufacturing, is what embodies The Pattern Preacher name. With a background steeped in luxury garment manufacture (over 25 years) The Pattern Preacher’s founder realised the gap in the market for a premium-quality sewing pattern brand that produced high quality, yet, responsibly sourced patterns in designs that were viable for the commercial market. The result of this realisation resulted in the very first Pattern Preacher sewing pattern.
