Hochanda, The Home of Crafts, Hobbies AND Arts is a Shopping Channel dedicated to educating, entertaining and inspiring Craft and Hobbies enthusiast of all kinds. Our head office, including UK based contact centre, warehousing and state-of-the art TV facilities is based in Peterborough, with easy train links to London and road links to the A1 & A14. Hochanda are passionate about providing high quality TV content focusing first and foremost on demonstrations, and then providing high quality and fair price products for crafters and hobbyists to create their own.

We currently broadcast 24/7 Sky 663, Freesat 817, & Freeview 85 as well as streaming Live in HD though IPTV technology online at www.hochanda.com. Broadcasting live for 12 hours a day, we offer a huge variety of shows and products. Our website is fully transactional and our in-house call centre with Sales and Customer services is open 24/7.

Launched in August 2015 we now have a 90 strong team across all departments. We outsource very little as we pride our self in Hochanda staff providing Hochanda services to the Hochanda consumer. This we feel is the best way to see the passion throughout and ensure it reaches the end user. We are very proud of the team we have who have come from all corners of the Direct Response, Shopping TV, and Retail industry. Hochanda being in its infancy allows our team to really spread their wings and stretch their imaginations to bring the best out of their skills and experience.

Producer Shift Leader

Description:

We are looking for an experienced and creative Producer to lead our Producer shifts as a Producer Shift Leader. You will train and coach Producers to maximise sales opportunities and provide the necessary creative input to new brands and product launches.

Previous tv home shopping experience and management experience is essential for this role.

This role is on a seven-day fortnight shift pattern, with full training given.

Main duties include:
  • To work closely with & provide support for the Executive Producer helping to provide cover for this position across the 7-day fortnight shift pattern.
  • Training, coaching and development of Producers to ensure the highest output is achieved.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Executive Producer on the performance of and behaviors of the team.
  • Assist the development and action the training plan of all new Producers on your shift.
  • Conduct both tri-monthly 121s and the annual appraisal process for on shift Producers with guidance from the Executive Producer.
  • Responsible for managing the creativity on new brands, product launches, event briefs and show development on your shift and across the TV department.
  • Essential on call point of contact for the Production Team during evenings and weekends and subsequently responsible for arranging/providing cover for sickness and absences.
  • Mentor forward planning meetings for production purposes, paying particular attention to the purposes of show prepping, planning and new editorial.
  • Working closely with Shift leader studio directors to build product creative formats for regular shows
  • Host bi-weekly tape reviews to ensure consistent and accurate content is achieved & new formats are suggested.
  • Assist the enrolment and integration into the company of new guests by assisting the Executive Producer in running the bi-monthly Guest Support Seminars
  • Attend New Product & Event meetings and provide TV voice and reasoning

Technical Operative

Description:

In this role, you will be using your technical operations skills in a studio and live playout environment to support the production and delivery of broadcast content for Hochanda.

This role is on a seven-day fortnight shift pattern.

Main duties include:
  • Rig and derig technical equipment in a safe manner as directed to support production requirements.
  • Prepare the studio for use.
  • Sound mixing and assisting the presenters and guests with their microphones
  • Operate technical equipment in the production of live and occasional pre-recorded studio content as required.
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Report technical issues in a timely manner so that problems are addressed quickly and with minimal impact on the output.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the production team.
  • Attend production meetings when requested.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Any additional duties as requested.
Desired Skills
  • Previous experience in a technical operations role.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • A practical understanding of video and audio standards.

Gallery Producer

Description:

We are looking for a talented Producer to join our enthusiastic team to plan, deliver editorial content and deliver hourly live shows to maximise sales potential.

This role is on a seven-day fortnight shift pattern.

Main duties include:
  • Maximize sales by cross selling upsell items and monitoring live sales data, adjusting the live show format where necessary to capitalize on potential sales and increased ‘basket’ spend.
  • Has a full understanding of the full production process and limitations, reacting to and problem solving
  • Attends Forward planning meetings, preps with buyers to ensure accurate product knowledge is ascertained.
  • Develops Creative formats, builds guest relationships and confidence to ensure educational and successful demonstrations are delivered and extra studio requirements are acknowledged.
  • Identify all products USP’s and construct a clear show format to be delivered to the TV team during the pre-production meeting.
  • Briefs presenters to ensure successful show format and accurate product knowledge is achieved.
  • Supports Presenters throughout shows whilst adopting the role of the viewer ensuring all product information is delivered accurately and concisely. Consistently promoting and managing audience interaction.
  • Exercises creative flair to ensure that channel branding, identity and motto is retained.
  • Works under own initiative and juggles multiple tasks in order to prioritise daily responsibilities.

Supplier Support Administrator

Location: Hochanda Limited, Nene House, Nene Valley Business Park, Oundle, Peterborough, PE8 4HN

Description:

To work closely with all suppliers and courier partners to ensure orders are processed, collected and delivered inside of delivery promises made to the customer. Ensuring despatch SLA’s are adhered to by all suppliers of Hochanda and ultimately become an advocate for the customer to ensure that top level service is delivered at all times.

Main duties include:
  • Monitor supplier despatch dashboard and proactively contact and manage suppliers who have, or are likely to miss the 2-working day despatch SLA.
  • Ensure all new suppliers have been set up for all applicable courier collections and a Royal Mail posting location.
  • Agree support calls with suppliers for the day on which the first batch of orders is downloaded (supplier to arrange after the first show).
  • Book daily courier collections that have been requested by suppliers via the supplier portal in a timely manner.
  • Monitor daily failed courier collections and rebook/escalate where required. Ensure suppliers are kept updated with actions being taken at all times.
  • Generate Royal Mail sales orders as requested by suppliers in the supplier portal. Target 30-minute response.
  • Take ownership of all Supplier Support requests received by telephone or email and ensure that these are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist Customer Services with admin support as required.
